சமாதான பேச்சுக்கள் தொடங்குவது பற்றி பேச்சுவார்த்தைகள் அமையலாம் என ஒரு எதிர்பார்ப்பு இருந்தது.....ஆனால் தூதரக பெண் பேச்சாளர் "இந்த விஜயம் சமாதான பேச்சுக்களுடன் எந்த விதத்திலும் தொடர்பு இல்லை" என்று கூறியுள்ளார்..........

COLOMBO (Reuters) - Senior Norwegian officials flying into Sri Lanka will discuss post-tsunami reconstruction efforts and not the island's stalled peace process, the Norwegian embassy in Colombo said on Wednesday.
Norway's special envoy, Eric Solheim, arrived in Sri Lanka on Wednesday and he will join Foreign Minister Jan Petersen and Deputy Foreign Minister Vidar Helgesen for talks with reclusive Tamil Tiger rebel leader Velupillai Prabhakaran in Kilinochchi on Saturday.
The rebels' London-based chief negotiator, Anton Balasingham, is to fly in on Friday to attend the meeting.
There had been speculation the delegation would make a fresh attempt to revive peace negotiations between the Tigers and the government, in limbo since April 2003, but a spokeswoman for the Norwegian mission in Colombo said talks with the Tiger chief would focus only on tsunami relief efforts.
[b]"The visit has nothing to do with the peace process," the spokeswoman told Reuters.
In the aftermath of the Dec. 26 tsunami the rebels have locked horns with the government over millions of dollars of aid flowing into the country and have repeatedly complained that areas under their control were not getting a fair share.
A two-decade war between Tiger guerrillas and government troops killed more than 64,000 people before a Norwegian-brokered ceasefire took effect three years ago.
