One 'Thabo' to claim responsiblity for slaying of Karuna's men at a press conference planned to be held today.</span>

Sri Lankan policemen observe the bodies of four men killed in a house on the Colombo outskirts. They heavily drugged and were killed when they lay in their mats unconcious.

Colombo, 27 July: "Quisling (betrayer) Thabo" - as described to "Asian Tribune," heavily drugged the eight slain Karuna's cadres in the night before they were being killed by a special six member LTTE's hit squad, said one of Karuna's field commanders speaking from the jungle area in the Amparai district, located in the Eastern region of Sri Lanka.

The said field commander talked to "Asian Tribune" divulging details of the how the Liberation Tigers - Vanni group assassinated Kuhanesan and others of Karuna Amman"s group, in Kottawa by treachery and deciet, day before yesterday.

According to the information, the same slain group including Thabo the "quisling" was earlier staying in a rented hours at Rajagirya. When slain Kuhanesan suspected that by some chance Vanni Tigers had got the scent of whereabouts of their rented house and they have started following him and others.

Therefore for security reason, they decided to change the house and accordingly the house in Kristal Terrace, Malabe Road, Kottawa, Pannipittiya, was rented two weeks ago and all of them secretly moved in to that house.

But they were not aware that there was an informant within them and who worked against them secretly. That one according to the field commander was 'Thabo' the one who limps incidently Kuhanesan also limps, he said.

Vanni Tigers managed to manipulate Thabo and staged the slaying of the Karuna's cadres.

Thabo acted skillfully to win the confidence of Kuhanesan and he was in charge of the finance, as well as the food. It was Thabo who goes to the market to purchase provisions for cooking, also cook food and use to serve food to the members in the group.

According to the agreed arrangements, last Saturday night Thabo served sago soup to the group members.

The sago soup that was served after the dinner before going to bed, was drugged and all those who had the soup slept but when they slept they all fell unconscious due to the effect of the unsuspecting drug introduce in the soup.

According to prior arrangement with Vanni Tigers. hit squad, Thabo kept backdoor simply closed without locking it.

By 03.30 am, Sunday early morning, the hit squad quietly entered house through the backdoor and shot all the eight at point blank range with the 9 mm automatic Browning pistol fixed with silencer

The slaying was over in five minutes, as the eight defenseless cadres of Karuna were already lying unconscious due to the drugging done by Thabo.

After the slaying, they ascertained that all of them have died and then they went though the rooms in search of any clues about Karuna. After a quick, but a through search of the rooms, then they removed the sim cards in the mobile telephones found with the cadres to check the communication history and sped away taking with them Thabo.

It is learnt that Vanni group of the Batticaloa Amparai Division has planned to hold a press conference today to introduce Thabo who has been instructed to claim sole responsibility at the press conference and to declare that it was he who was solely responsible for the slaying of the eight Karuna's cadres and he is also expected to announce that he did it as he fell out with Karuna and Kuhanesan and also to provide some more plausible reasons as coached by his handlers, said Karuna;s field commander.
