<b>Main political parties refuse to comment on LTTE rift

(UNI) Sri Lankan political parties have refused to comment on the rift in the Tamil Tiger ranks, saying it was the ''internal matter of the rebel organisation\".

Bandula Jayasekara in Colombo, SLT 10.45 A.M Friday 5 March. Leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) Rauf Hakeem said even though the LTTE had made unwanted comments on the internal problems within the SLMC he and his party would not make any comments on the rift between Prabhakaran and Eastern leader, Karuna. Speaking to The Lanka Academic from the East, Hakeem said \"We will not speak out of turn. It is not in our character to comment on internal conflicts of other parties even though the LTTE spoke out of turn and made unnecessary comments about differences between Muslims. Hakeem appealed to Muslims in Sri Lanka to unite. The SLMC leader pointed out that it was the key. He also said that the SLMC would push for a separate Muslim delegation to take part at future peace talks. \"We are looking for community oriented devolution of power within a federal frame work.\" Hakeem added.Thanx: The Academic

முஸ்லீம் காங்கிரசின் உள்வீட்டு பிரைச்சனைகளை பற்றி தேவையற்ற விதத்தில் புலிகள் விமர்சித்திருந்தபோதிலும் பிரபாகரனுக்கும் கருணாவுக்கும் இடையிலான பிரிவு பற்றி தாமோ தமது கட்சியோ கருத்து எதையும் தெரிவிக்கபோவதில்லை என்று முஸ்லீம் காங்கிரஸ் தலைவர் ரவூப் ஹக்கீம் கூறினார்.
