Corrected Information
Time: From 9 am till 1 pm
Date:: Friday, 28 April 2006
Place:: Outside the Eelapatheeswarar Aalayam Limited, Union Road, Wembley, Middlesex. HA0 4AU
How to get there: :Tube - Wembley Central by Metropolitan or Bakerloo, Bus - 79 - 83 - 92 - 182 - 224 Car: A406 ring road and then towards Wembley at Hangerlane or A404
Contact:: Rajan - 07751717097
Reason:: Rajasingham Jayadevan also known as Undiyalaan is running the Eelapatheeswarar Hindu temple as a money making institution. This is a great insult to all devotees, and must be brought to an end.
Further, when funds were collected for the start-up of the temple devotees were led to believe that the temple would function as a charity. Devotees were told that all funds collected at the temple would be spent to maintain the temple, while excess monies would be donated to orphanages in the Tamil Homeland.
To date the above mentioned temple has been managed as a money making machine. British Charity Commission has pointed out that the temple donates money to local political parties. This practice has happened without the knowledge and/or approval of the devotees.
The people would like to reclaim their temple. All Shaivaites are urged to participate in the protest and make it clear to Undiyalaan & Co that a temple must be given due respect and not used as a factory for profits.
