ஒரு வருடத்துக்கு முதல் விடுதலைப்புலிகள் <b>ஐ.நா. சபையாலும் உலக வங்கியாலும் ஆசிய அபிவிருத்தி வங்கியாலும்</b> ஒரு ஆட்சி நிருவாகமாக கருதப்பட்டு நன்கு மதிக்கப்பட்டு இருந்ததற்கு கீழ்வரும் செய்தி உதாரணமாக இருக்கிறது.

UN's Annan Condemns Killing of Senior Tamil Tiger in Sri Lanka
Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) -- United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan condemned the killing of a senior member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam in Sri Lanka, according to the international body's news service.
E. Kousalyan, head of the Tigers' political division in the Batticaloa-Amparai district of the South Asian island, and three Tamil Tigers members were killed late on Feb. 7, the group said on its Web site. He was the most senior rebel leader to be killed since the government and the Tigers signed a truce three years ago.
The Tigers have been fighting for two decades for a separate homeland in the northeast of the country, the second-worst hit nation in the December Indian Ocean tsunami disaster. Peace talks broke down in 2003. The Sri Lankan army called the killing a violation of the truce and said a breakaway rebel faction may have been responsible.
Annan ``urges all parties to exercise calm and restraint so as to avoid actions that could disrupt the ceasefire agreement,'' the New York-based UN news service said on its Web site yesterday.
The Tigers yesterday canceled a meeting with the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank to discuss tsunami reconstruction, the group's Web site said. Tamil flags flew at half-mast in the northeast of the country to mark the killing.
The group blamed ``paramilitary operatives working with the Sri Lankan armed forces'' for the deaths
