Dear CUTSIS,

Carleton University Tamil Students Association (CUTSA) and Academic
Society of Tamil Students (ACTS) are holding a presentation on Saturday
January 14, 2006 to raise the voice against the harassment on students
in Sri Lanka.

Tamil students studying outside of Sri Lanka are emotionally affected
with the recent harassment on students in Sri Lanka and the increase in
sexual abuse of women in the North-East of Sri Lanka. CUTSA has been,
and continues to be an activist in voicing the inhumane activities
taking place in Sri Lanka.

This arranged presentation is to voice the Role of Canadian Foreign
Policies on Students Issues. Student issues in North and East of Sri
Lanka will be focused. There will be various speakers present at this event.
Also there will be an all party discussion panel with the candidates
running at the upcoming federal election.
This is a very important event to all of us and every one MUST attend
this
presentation to supports our brothers and sisters in back home.

இதே போன்ற ஒரு நிகழ்வு இன்று மாலை 6:30 மணியளவில் ரொறன்ரோவில் கனேடிய தமிழர் பேரவையின் ஏற்பாட்டில் நடைபெறவுள்ளது. அனைத்துக் கட்சிகளையும் சேர்ந்த வேட்பாளர்கள் கலந்து கருத்துக்களைப் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளவுள்ளார்கள்.
