AN OPEN LETTER
Dear Mr Jayadevan
In TBC news which now you control, I heard you saying you are prepared to meet anyone in a forum to put your points across and answer questions as long as it is civilised.
He are the questions?
1. You have invested funds on two occasions in the production of “Thiruvasakam” with the music of Ilayarajah. The purpose was to by CD’s and sell them at a profit which will go to trhe charitable purposes.
On the first occasion you invested Ind. Rs 425,000 and on the second occasion Ind. Rs 35,000.
Please tell us whether this is monies collected from the Temple or your private funds. Assuming it is temple fund who made or authorised public funds to be invested in this way.
Now it is clear that none of the monies can be recovered. Who is answerable to these lost funds please?
Does the devotees aware of this transaction?
We understand a private firm is now selling these CDs. Do you have any connection with this organisation?
2. You call your organisation Democratic. There are three partners as follows:
A. Karuna Group.
B. Yourself
C. ENDLF.
Please tell us any one of you were ever selected as a leader in a Democratic way?
Did any one of you ever had any elections regarding this organisation.
When you are appointing your selves as leaders how can you criticize the LTTE. At least they are telling the truth and honest about it.
3. Would you please tell us whether or not any temple funds were used for any charitable purposes. If so who are the beneficiaries please? Would you tell us who got what amount.
4. Would you please confirm or deny you have one house in Colombo and
three houses in England fully paid?
5. The charity commission in it’s report says the temple funds were
donated to political parties. Would you please tell us to what parties the donations were made and how much was donated to each political party.
These are very simple straight forward questions. Lack of response will only indicate you have
something to hide.
Would you please e-mail your answers to us and broadcast the questions and answers on TBC. If
you did that we may begin to believe you.
