Two paramilitary cadres shot, injured in Valaichennai
Ajith, and another paramilitary cadre belonging to Karuna group were shot by unknown gunmen while they were travelling through Karuvaakerni towards Valaichenai at 6.30 p.m., Sunday, sources in Batticaloa said.
Both were taken in Jeeps belonging to Valaichenia police, under heavy security, and have been admitted to Batticaloa Hospital, according to hospital sources.
Karuvakerni is located about 32 km North of Batticaloa town.
