User Tips for Nokia. & SIP/VOIP
Network:
Go to MENU > SETTINGS > CONNECTIVITY > NETWORK -----select mode 3G (UMTS) or GSM….
1. Use always GSM or 3G mode alone.
If u are using Dual mode battery will drain early and voice quality and clarity will affect and create signal problems also.
And u can see mobile will heat more in dual mode even for calling when both the 3G and GSM signal interference.
Keep the phone only using GSM and listening music u can use without charging for 3 days or at least 2 days.
Watching videos or internet will drain the battery early because of processor and screen light.
2. Use 3G at the time of browsing by using 3G internet services.
Internet:
Go to www.operamini.com thro ur phone browser or download thro PC and copy to phone and install.
OperaMini phone browser speedup your browser and reducing download rate so it will be cheap for browsing…
For example if u opens any website with normal browser it may be 300kb.
While using OperaMini it will be around 50kb or slightly less or more depends on the website content.
VOIP SIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol):
Calling to india mobile & landline number very cheap from rest of the world.
( Thro nymgo 0.03 $ / mins ( using monthly package only to india 20$ for 1750 mins free)
Thro globe7 0.016 $ / mins )
Even you can call to other country’s with cheap rate refer the rate plan with the concern VOIP/SIP service provider website.
VOIP/SIP software download to your PC and use.
Or
Do SIP/VOIP settings in your mobile and make call thro 3G or WIFI or even GPRS

Or
Download third party software into your mobile (particularly for windows mobile 5.0 & above) and use.
EXAMPLE:-

1. GLOBE7 (www.globe7.com) , this is working with GPRS also (good voice quality)
2. TALKONAUT (www.talkonaut.com this is google voip) ,
3. FRING (www.fring.com u can chat & call to people with gtalk, yahoomsg, skypee….).
4. NIMBUZZ (www.nimbuzz.com u can chat & call to people with gtalk, yahoomsg, skypee….)
For chat Msg. 3G or WIFI not required, it will work with GPRS.
Mobile software can be downloaded thro www.getjar.com, OR wap.getjar.com,

For Nokia N & E series (N79, N73, N95…E51, E63, E71….)
Note : Nokia 5800XM not supporting sip settings so better try with third party software,
STEP 1. SIP/VOIP settings
Go to menu->tools->settings->connection->sip settings > OPTIONS > Create New Profile
Example for FREECALL VOIP:- ( for creating account log on to www.freecall.com )
Profile Name: FREECALL
Service Profile: IETF
Access Point in use: < user internet access point name > eg. Mobily internet prepaid or wifi network
Public User Name: sip:username@voiparound.com
Use Compression: No
Registration: Always on
Use Security: No

Then come back it will automatically save all entered field.
Now your SIP profile should get registered via mobile internet or wifi net
STEP 2. Go to menu->tools->settings->connection->Internet telephone
STEP 3. Create a new Internet telephone profile using the name of your Nymgo SIP profile.
STEP 4. Go to menu->connectivity->Internet telephone
STEP 5. Select your internet connection and your SIP profile should get registered. (Important)
At the time only one SIP profile will active… but u can create more SIP settings. at the time of calling u have to activate required SIP profile by above steps.
STEP 6. Dial a number (or select contact from your cantact list) in international format or browse any number from address book and call this number using following options:
Options->Call->Internet call ( cellular call means your mobile service provider like BSNL)
