இலங்கை ராணுவ கருத்தரங்கில் இந்தியா பங்கேற்க கூடாது: வைகோ

ம.தி.மு.க. பொதுச்செயலாளர் வைகோ வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையில் கூறி இருப்பதாவது:–

 

தமிழ் இனப் படுகொலை நடத்திய சிங்கள அரசு, கொழும்புவில் ஆகஸ்ட் 18 முதல் 20–ந்தேதி வரை மூன்று நாட்கள் இலங்கை ராணுவக் கருத்தரங்கு ஒன்றை ஏற்பாடு செய்து இருக்கின்றது. இக்கருத்தங்கில் இந்திய ராணுவத் தளபதிகளும், அதிகாரிகளும் பங்கேற்கிறார்கள் என்றும், பாரதீய ஜனதா கட்சியின் சார்பில் சுப்பிரமணியசாமி உள்ளிட்ட குழுவினரும் கலந்து கொள்வர் என்றும் செய்தி வெளியாகி இருக்கின்றது.

 

இந்தத் தகவல் தமிழ் மக்களுக்குக் கடும் அதிர்ச்சியையும் மனவேதனையையும் தருகிறது. அண்மையில் சுப்பிரமணிய சாமி, சேஷாத்திரி சாரி உள்ளிட்டவர்கள் சிங்கள அதிபர் ராஜபக்சேவைச் சந்தித்து, இலங்கை அரசுக்கு இந்தியா உறுதுணையாக இருக்கும் என்றும், ஐ.நா. மனித உரிமைக்குழுவில் இலங்கைக்கு ஆதரவான நிலைப்பாட்டைத்தான் இந்திய அரசு மேற்கொள்ளும் என்று தெரிவித்ததாகப் பத்திரிகைகளில் செய்திகள் வெளியாயின.

 

சிங்கப்பூரில் நடந்த ஒரு கருத்தரங்கில் பாரதீய ஜனதா கட்சி வெளிவிவகாரக் கொள்கையின் தேசிய அமைப்பாளர் சேஷாத்திரி சாரி பேசும் பொழுது, “வெளிநாடுகளுடன் இந்தியா மேற்கொள்ளும் வெளியுறவுக் கொள்கையை தமிழ்நாடு, மேற்கு வங்காள மாநிலங்களைக் கருதி தீர்மானிக்க முடியாது” என்று குறிப்பிட்டு இருக்கின்றார்.

 

அப்படியானால் லட்சக் கணக்கான தமிழர்கள் ஈழத்தில் கொன்று குவிக்கப்பட்டதை சர்வ சாதாரணமாக நினைக்கிறாரா? இதுபோன்ற மிகவும் ஆபத்தான நச்சுக் கருத்தை சேஷாத்திரி சாரி தெரிவித்து இருப்பது வன்மையான கண்டனத்துக்கு உரியதாகும்.

 

ஐ.நா. மனித உரிமைகள் குழுவில், இலங்கை அரசு நடத்திய தமிழ் இனப் படுகொலைகளை விசாரிப்பதற்கு சுதந்திரமான பன்னாட்டு விசாரணை நடைபெற வேண்டும் என்று உலகின் பல நாடுகள் வற்புறுத்தி வரும் நிலையில், இந்திய ராணுவத் தளபதிகளும், பா.ஜ.க. குழுவும் இலங்கை ராணுவக் கருத்தரங்கில் பங்கேற்பது என்பது சகிக்க முடியாத, மன்னிக்க முடியாத மாபாதகச் செயலாகும்.

 

ஏழரைக் கோடித் தமிழர்களின் உணர்வுகளை மதித்துச் செயல்படும் வகையில், இலங்கை ராணுவக் கருத்தரங்கில் பங்கேற்கும் முடிவை இந்திய அரசு உடனடியாக கைவிட வேண்டும் என்று வலியுறுத்திக் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன்.

Don't take part in Sri Lanka defence meet, Vaiko urges Centre

Vaiko said the Centre's "pro-Lanka" stance had led to doubts whether India was going to bury justice by joining hands with the island nation.

CHENNAI: MDMK, an ally of BJP in Tamil Nadu, today urged the Union government to not participate in a defence conference which is to be hosted by Sri Lanka next month.

"It is shocking to learn that an Indian delegation, comprising senior military personnel, officials and BJP leaders, including Subramanian Swamy, will be participating in a defence conference being organised by Sri Lanka," MDMK general secretary Vaiko said in a statement here.

The conference is to be held in the island nation between August 18 and 20.

Reiterating his charge that Sri Lanka had committed genocide and annihilated Tamils using even banned chemical weapons, Vaiko said the Centre's "pro-Lanka" stance had led to doubts whether India was going to bury justice by joining hands with the island nation.

"At a time when several nations are urging an independent, international probe into the genocide in the United Nations Human Rights Council, an Indian delegation participating in the Lanka defence meet is unpardonable," he said.

On the remark attributed to senior BJP functionary Seshadri Chari in Singapore that "India's foreign policy cannot be determined by considering Tamil Nadu and West Bengal," Vaiko said the view was 'poisonous" and deserved to be condemned.
